About ARTBRIK
The Vision Behind ARTBRIK
Founded by visual artist and art educator Meltem Karakuyu, ARTBRIK grew from a vision to create a space where artistic practice and creative learning could exist side by side.
Drawing on her experience as both an artist and educator, Meltem established ARTBRIK as a place for creating original artworks, exploring materials and techniques, and sharing artistic experiences with people of different ages and backgrounds.
At its heart, ARTBRIK embraces experimentation, individual expression, and the belief that art can inspire new perspectives and meaningful connections.
MEET THE FOUNDER
Meltem Karakuyu is a contemporary visual artist and art educator with an extensive academic background in fine arts and art education. Her artistic practice explores themes of identity, memory, displacement, and belonging, often bringing together the female figure and elements of nature.
With years of experience in artistic practice, teaching, and creative projects, she founded ARTBRIK in Eindhoven as a space where contemporary art, creative education, and artistic exchange come together.
Through ARTBRIK, she continues to develop her own artistic practice while creating opportunities for children, adults, and art enthusiasts to explore, experiment, and connect through art.
